Manufacter dates - Update 2010

#1

Confirmed 2010 manufacturer lot numbers:
I. Federal
year X = 2010
example: V03X425 is V=unknown, 30-30 Win line 03, 2010, (425 minus 400 = 25) 25th day (25 January 2010)
II. Remington
year J = first half of 2010
examples: J07PBI is first half 2010, 07th day, P=January, BI=unknown
J19PDI is first half of 2010, 19th day, January, DI=unknown
III. Winchester
year D = 2010
example: 30DA21 is 9mm Luger line 30, 2010, January, 12
(note: a very interesting box indeed, will be the subject of another thread)
IV. Speer
year R = 2010
example: A03R5 is January 03 2010, 5=unknown
For those who follow the Speer system, I recently recovered an early CCI Blazer 40 S&W (180-gr PHP) box with the lot number B06X4. B06 equates to 6 February. The X indicates production in a year earlier than 1995 (year A in the 1995-present (A thru R) system), but CCI announced production of these in 1991. So X is a year between 1991 and 1994. If no letters are skipped (like I and O in the 1995-present system) then I think year W= 1991, year X=1992, year Y = 1993, and year Z = 1994.

2011 manufacture dates:
Speer year S=2011, i.e. B01S5 = 1 February 2011, line 5
Winchester year E=2011, i.e. 44EA72 = 38 Special line 44, 27 January 2011
Federal year T=2011, Federal posted a recall of 45 Auto lot numbers 38X628 to 38X765 (45 Auto line 38, 16 August-31 December 2010) and 38T401 to 38T414 (line 38, 1-14 January 2011).
Remington (not yet observed) speculate L=first half of 2011 based on previous observed K=last half of 2010.
