Military Aviation Museum, Virginia Beach, VA

This is a very well funded and very well run private museum owned by one (1) man, money spent well, unlike many other rich people
Most planes are flyable and do fly, some in the movies. This adds a huge cost mechanically and in dealing with FAA. The WWI collection is superb and not to be missed. A real Luftwaffe hangar (siding and roof are new, the beams are from Germany) still has bullet splash marks from the time when the Red Army overran it. The restoration hangar had about 10 technicians working on several planes, one of them de Havelland Mosquito. A nice early WWII Soviet Air Force section. Many unique items like WWII German Enigma. The museum is manned by retired USAF volunteers who have seen some planes in action. Do not miss this one if you like planes and are around Virginia.
