Mortar bomb used as school bell

Saw that from another source earlier today. Read the article and it states that the “mortar bomb” bottom was hollow but the fuze was live (?). Looking at what just the picture shows, I see a 105mm howitzer round with no apparent fuze, the rotating band stripped from the shell (in a resources poor country, go figure) and if the “bottom was hollow”, I guess that the payload was gone and remnants of the fuze, if any, should have functioned expelling said payload. So, I guess it would have made a good bell. Leave it to anti land mine “activists” and an uninformed (and blissfully so) biased media to get something so simple wrong. Cheers, Bruce.
