New DWM Production

#1

I am hoping some of our European members may know more about this topic. Here is what I know:

Harald Wolf (of HWM) evidently took over the DWM brand and logo sometime in the first half of the 2000’s. About c2005/2006 he began marketing these “DWM” cartridges which were produced by Wolfgang Romey of Petershagen. They have mainly been sold through retailers : AKAH and Kettner.

As of 2006, as well as the 308 Win, 300 WSM and 30-06, the following European Sporting calibers were available:

6x70R Norma
7x64 Brenneke
7x65R Brenneke
8x57JS Mauser
8x57JRS Mauser
8x64S Brenneke
8x68S Magnum
8x75RS Mauser
9.3x62 Mauser
9.3x64 Brenneke
9.3x74R Mauser

Later introduced were:

6x62 Fr

Thanks for the expanded info Pivi. It appears that no one else has any more info or images of these new “DWM” hs.

Hi,

All I know is that the DWM logo was re-registered in 2006 by Harald Wolff, 66981 M

Thanks for that info Vlim which is very useful.

I have gone thru my DWM catalogs and the first sign of that DWM logo is in the 1937 catalogs.

Another interesting thing that I have noticed is that although his name is Harald Wolff, it appears that his business (in Belgium) is HARALD WOLF MASTERGUNWORKS (note sp.).

This same DWM logo was used when Speer was marketing DWM ammunition.
