Non-Centerfire Sharps List

#1

OK, we seem to have a pretty good handle on who made Sharps cartridges. So, now we can start on what was made. We will start with all the NON_CENTERFIRE cartridges. Can anyone make any additions or corrections to the following list?

#2

.36 Sharps wire ejector
It was for the 1856-6(1?) Sharps Pistol Rifle, which was also manufactured for the “mule-ear” and paper cartridges.

Additional info. Normally found with a brass case, we sold the only known steel cased example in our sale 8 as lot 19. That said either case material is RARE

Pete–Thanks for the additional info. It is not clear to me if the steel case you referred to was a Mule-Ear or Wire Ejector type. Is the Wire-Ejector model the same length as the Mule-Ear (1 1/16 inch)? What bullet style (pointed or round nose). Both bullet styles were used in the Mule-Ear.
Was the wire brass or steel?
