Old flobert ctge

Last year I found in a flea market some early 9 mm Flobert ctges.
the ctges were interesting because they had a copper base and a white paper tube.
the hstp was LF
LF was said to be for Lepage, but I had no proof

From the same guy I found this year the empty box where the ctges were coming from.
LF is then definitively for LEPAGE FRERES

What a neat little cartridge. LePage et Frere was one of France’s premier gun makers. Although not in the same class as Boute, still excellent workmanship. It only made sence that this headstamp belonged to them. Nice that you were able to identify it with a box!

J.P. your box is not really in good condition, Here are 3 labels for 6 mm flobert made by Gaupillat for their customer Lepage Freres, and identical with the 9 mm caliber

made circa 1850/1870
