UNIDENTIFIED LOT IN WW1 ERA U.S. SITE .

IDEAS ? ABOUT 7 INCHES LONG . NOTE GRENADE SPOON AND FUZE IN LOWER PHOTO.

#2

My guess is that all the long corroded looking things are fuse assemblies from German WWI / WWII model-24 stick grenades. Although you say it’s a U.S. site, and who knows why such things might be in such quantity in the U.S., but if you look at this photo you can see how the lower steel part could be the gnarly corroded half in the posted photo above, and how the upper copper part might be the green corroded half in the photo above:

??? -maybe

They are too large to be that. Nearly 7 inches long and much larger diameter.

I have seen this before but I cant put my finger on it Im going to send the photo around to my EOD buddies might get a hit from them

#5

I thought they looked a little large to be those grenade fuses, but then the corrosion could’ve expanded them some? Maybe they’re from another large grenade of that sort?
