Peterson Cartridge Company

Hi,

I’m fielding a question about this company.

Is anyone familiar with their brass? Their product line? (website only shows .308)

Thanks in advance,

Paul

When clicking the link you posted I also see .300 Win. Mag &. 338 Lapua Mag. offered. However I can’t help otherwise. sorry.

I see that Peterson has expanded to include .408 Chey Tac, .375 Chey Tac, .260 Rem, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .308 Palma. All headstamped as Peterson.

Peterson has expanded their lineup of headstamped brass to include several “small primer” versions, which is a way of increasing web-strength in the head for shooters wanting to load to higher pressure I suppose. Here are a bunch of headstamps:

In the previous post from 1 year ago, I showed several new headstamps from Peterson, including the .375 Chey Tac. Today I received some .375 Chey Tac from Southern Ballistic Research with 353gr solid copper match projectiles, and the headstamps turn out to be Peterson, but are a tiny bit different. The P logo is a little larger on this recent version, and the font is a little different, mostly on the 7’s, where they do not have the little hooks on them now.

Just received a box of Peterson 7.62x54R, loaded with 165gr Sierra Gamechanger projectiles. Very sharp looking case, almost too good for 54R.
