With the U.S. military adopting new cartridges and wanting lighter weight cartridges (see previous post shown below)
the push is on in the competition to land contracts to produce these newly adopted rounds.
Below is the first look at the .338 Norma Mag. cartridge being developed by PCP Ammunition. Presumably their effort to land a contract to produce that round. .
Note the upper portion of the cartridge case is plastic and the cartridge base/head is steel.
