Polish "SPORTOWY" Tokarev cartridge adaptors

#1

Had a person looking for these on another forum and I was curious as to material used, rarity, etc.

Supposedly adaptors to use .22 shells in the Tokarev chamber.

Jon C / John Moss?

They are pretty scarce. I have 2 versions:

  1. Aluminum body with a steel base and “barrel” tube.
  2. Solid turned steel.
The aluminum is more common, but good luck finding any, especially three.

As I read yours the first time, I mistakenly thought he needed three of them.

Was that military issue or civilian (what seems unkikely)?

I think they are for civilian use, but I’m not sure.

#5

Civilian, “sportowy” = sport

#6

Are there any army shooting teams that may have used them?

#7

Possible, but I don’t exactly know. I will try to find out.

#8

I just wonder if there were many “civilian” owners of TT pistols in Poland those days.
As a cheap training device I could see a better use.

Someone imported some of the guns recently. They didn’t end up with enough of the adapters, last I heard they were trying to get them made here in the US.
