Priceless ammunition

This nice yellow-red box of Winchester super speed is interesting for two reasons. First, I couldn’t match the exact pattern in the .22 Box Identification Guide for Collectors (the excellent site for .22 stamps & boxes). And secondly but very interesting: the price of this box in Belgium in 1957. The owner wrote it down on it. It costed 40 old Belgian francs. Nowadays one single €. But in 1957, it was a lot of money. It represented about an hourly wage of a steelworker who belonged to the best paid craftsmen in Belgian industry at that time. Nowadays we pay here between €3,5 and €15 for a box of 50. American cartridges are cheap: CCI-Federal. RWS is in-between (€6) and Eley Tenex is priceless.
