unknown catridge which is about 60mm long and it’s caliber is about 8mm，semi rimmed brass case. I wonder the name about this type of cartridge and what weapons it used on.
your casing look like a 8.2x66.5 SR russian hunting
Thanks for your reply，and I think I took a wrong length of it，its length is indeed about 66mm in fact.
What is that blue thing you put next to it for scale in the last picture?
Looks like a mechanical pencil lead holder
Your ID is correct!
I just have it listed as a 8.2x66SR.
8 mm calibers always ring a bell in my mind. In Russia, usually bore diameter governs the cartridge designation (for example, CIP 9.3x64 is 9x64 in Russia). Is the bullet diameter of the 8.2x66SR (maybe 8.4 mm?) known?
Thank you, Peter, for this document.
The little blue box are lead refills for automatic pencil.
Thanks a lot for your pictures.
Thanks Dr. DFZ8881, & if I might make a comment that a ruler / measure might be more helpful in providing you an answer in your future posts?
ok，I think I will take a new photo with ruler tonight.
DFZ, no worries the case is correctly identified now.
