I recently received the boxes in this picture from a cartridge collector in Russia. It would be nice if they considered the cartridge collectors and did a little more labeling on these.
The black striped ones sure are pretty!
Actually, I really like these kinds of boxes for some reason. They are neat in their simplicity.
Russian boxes for the military usually have no markings except for colored bars to indicate the ammunition type or special sniper ammunition (early 7.62x39 boxes also had markings on them). I guess it is not to confuse simple soldiers. The spam cans hold all information needed.
Boxes with printed details on them are usually for the MIA (like police or it’s paramilitary troops like OMON).
