Does anybody know what year canada and the u.s. switched from paper to plastic shotshells?
It didn’t happen in one year. Companies in both the US and Canada offered both plastic and paper hulls at the same time and over various lengths of time. Some like Federal still make / offer both.
I was in high school in the early 60’s and everyone in my class down in Nebraska who were pheasant hunters used to talk about the “new” plastic shotgun shells. Maybe 1963 or 1964?
I agree, Tom. The plastics came on the scene in the early to mid 1960s in this country as I recall.
Ok thx…just trying to date a few of my boxes.
