Soviet cal.12 brass case

#1

Gentlemen,

We have found many cal.12 brass cases in former soviet garrisons. Because of the date stamp we think, that they are military products. For what guns did they used them?

I’m sure that (like with many US bases) these 12 gauge shells would have been used for either clay target shooting (trap, skeet) or hunting in the vicinity of the base. Both the Izhevsk and Tula arsenals made or make large numbers of sporting or hunting shotguns that would have been chambered for 12 gauge.
