I just acquired an all-brass 12B shotshell, by UMC, with a Sturtevant patent primer anvil. Has a general timeframe for the production of these shells been established? Cheers!
Roundsworth–The U.M.C. 12-B with Sturtevant Primer Pocket was listed in the U.M.C. catalogs from 1880 to 1886. They were sold only as Primed Empties.
Excellent! Thanks, Ron.
