Are you absolutely sure it is “GT” as there is a “GJ” headstamp on pinfire ammunition in a similar font and in the same position. This could be a poorly struck “GJ” The “GJ” headstamp is from a company called "Walbinger Meuschel & Co. Patronenh

GT is/was a headstamp used by G

Hi Bob,
Hogg has it listed as "Gevelot SA, Paris. On .38 Mk 2Z made for Pakistan Army in 1959 and thereafter on general sale to the Far East. With various year digits ‘59’ to ‘71’."
Off hand I’d say, if it looks older than that, wait until you hear from m d or Vit.
Take care,
sam

If it is GT I do not know.
If it is GJ, this means Gevelot Jules (GJ).
And it is dated from before the birth of SFM (which was the union of Gevelot and Gaupillat).

PS : Bob , you changed again your E mail !!!
I’ve tried to contact you without success !

I am 99 % sure it is not GT but GJ !

An GJ has never been Buschwiller.

I got that definition of the “GJ” headstamp from the IAA headstamp guide, which is to known to have a few errors that happened when it was created.
