Hello all, in a similar RFH post I made earlier, my father’s gun cabinet had a “drawer of ammo” he infrequently added to, last touched since at Least the 1960s, that I cleaned out and packed up when he passed. He had a wide variety of 30-06 rounds which was his main rifle ; in the drawer are about 6 of this solid silver bullet . The headstamp is RA40 - which apparently from other posts i’ve Searched is Remington Arms, 1940. But what is the round itself can anyone ID? Thanks
normal ball round, early M2 with stannic stained bullet. that was done with the early M2 rounds to differentiate them from M1 ball ammo
Thanks for the reply! Great help!
