Unknown 6.5 Italian Carcano Headstamp

I have a “frangible” reduced load 6.5 Italian Carcano cartridge. The headstamp is S.A C-53.

Does anyone know who made this cartridge?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you.

That 6.5 Carcano was made at Pirotecnico di Capua (the “C” is for Capua" in 1953. The initials “S.A” at the top are the initials of the Chief Inspector at Capua in 1953. Depsite being in the modern era, the name is not known. However, “S” would be the initial of his last name, and “A” of his first name, in the Italian fashion.

The initials of these inspectors, I am told, are still considered classified information by the Italian Government, making them hard to discover. Some are known and some are not.

The chief inspector’ s name is not known. All that i can add to John’s post is that this headstamp is only found on BALL and FRANGIBLE loads
