Vintage winchester ammo (WINCHESTER 12 RANGER marked SUPER TRAP 3 - 1 1/8 - 8C)

Good morning. Brand new to site. Hope I’m doing this right. I recently acquired 2 boxes of winchester 12 gauge shells. Beat I can determine they were manufactured in 1942. Both boxes still sealed in foil lined paper. Are they worth anything?

Appreciate the help in advance

Two Possibilities:
Foil sealed packs indicate Tropical Use ( Trench Guns)…00 Buckshot.
Cases were waxed cardboard but still suffered from Tropical Humidity.

USAAF Use in AirGunnery Training.
At moving Targets ( from back of a 6x6 Truck) ( AAA or smaller Shot).

Any other suggestions???

Can you tell what the headstamp might be on these?

Are they commercial “Ranger” marked hulls?

Thanks!

Hi Jack, yes, they are commercial cartridges with No WINCHESTER 12 RANGER MADE IN U.S.A headstamp. Paper is marked SUPER TRAP 3 - 1 1/8 - 8C. Unsealed closure and primer.
