Western .410 (Another Aluminum Shotshell)

Was the item on the left ever marketed commercially or was this another experimental? On the right is the M35 which saw use as issued for the M6 Survival Gun.


One would think you have proof that the shell was, at least for a time, was offered in aluminum. Perhaps they had a lot of cases left after the government contract and ran them on the civi market.

I have one M35 in my collection from 1958 but I have never run across the commercial ones… nor do I recall seeing anything about it in print but we know my track record on that!
