What are they??

Brass case rimfire and bullet is iron or steel as a magnet will pull on it, 0.3" diameter. No markings.

My guess is they were used in slaughter houses.

Maybe I’ll pull the bullet and see if powder or not.

This I did and no powder and bullet is hollow.

How old are they? Today, such a toy would be apt to cause both parent & child a lot of trouble.

A friend had them in the 50s. Your right, these toy bullets would mean trouble.

It’s a different world today.
