Winchester Catalogs Needed

#1

I still need the following Winchester catalogs for Roger and my catalog scanning project. If you have any of them and are willing to either scan them or send them to me to scan, please let me know by email. For those who have not been to our web site before go to 22box-id.com/ and click on “Ammo Catalogs” to see the complete list of all the companies and catalogs we have done so far. ALL of these can be downloaded for FREE.

Curtis

#3

Curtis–Thanks. That will complete all the Winchester-Western catalogs.

#4

Ron,
2002 and 2004 are on the way along with a couple of photocopies of 1930 and 31.
Gary

#5

Gary-Thanks. I will be looking for them to arrive in the next few days.

I’m down to just a few catalogs after 1960. Is there no one out there with these relatively modern Winchester catalogs.

1988

1989

1992

1998

1999

2003

Thanks to Fede who sent me the 2003 catalog, we are now down to only 5 catalogs needed from 1960 to 2012. If you have any of these, please let me know. Remember, this project benefits everyone by preserving the catalogs for future collectors as well as anyone who wants them.

Hi Ron:
I just bid and paid for 1998, 1999 and 2003. I am awaiting to see if I can get the seller to ship directly to you or if he will only ship to me in Canada and then me to you. Will email you when I find out.
Thanks for scanning and posting all these catalogs for the rest of us to all use too!!! That is appreciated and does benefit all us collectors.

Curtis–That’s great. Now we only need 3 more to be 100% from 1960-2012. Really need those pre-1960 catalogs.

It sure would be a lot more convenient if they will ship directly to me. It would save a bunch of postage.

#10

Hi Ron
Do you need the January 1887 and 1896
Carolyn

#11

Carolyn–Yes!!! The only early Winchester we have is 1914.

#12

Ron, sounds like you have most of the post 1960’s. What years are you still missing? I have quite a few from this time frame.

#13

Ron

Can you tell me what you mean by a “catalog”? I have, somewhere, some that I call flyers, 8 1/2 x 11, that are 5 to 10 pages long. Is that a catalog?

Remchester–From 1960 to 2012, we still need only 1988, 1989 and 1992. Before 1960 we need all years EXCEPT 1887, 1896 and 1914. Curtis is sending a number of pre-1930 catalogs but right now I am not sure which years.

We also need any Western catalogs before 1960.

Ray-- I am interested in anything that advertises cartridges, including dated magazine ad’s. But to define what I include in the terms “Catalog” and “Flyer”, see below:

CATALOG: Generally these are issued yearly. They are normally multi-page, but in one case may be only 1 or two pages. I include Broadsides (either 1-sided or 2-sided) from the early years, Wholesale Price Lists, Dealer Price Lists, Retail Price Lists (including 1-sided or 2-sided Counter Cards), Export Price Lists, Export Catalogs, Non-English Catalogs (of all types) and Retail Catalogs. Price Lists are normally not illustrated while full line catalogs may or not be illustrated. Price Lists usually have more abbreviated information than a full line retail catalog.

FLYERS: Often are undated and may be issued one time only. Normally cover only one cartridge or group of cartridges, often to introduce a new round, but may just be information on the .22 Line or a Shotgun Cartridge Line, like Field Loads, etc. Normally 1-sided or 2-sided, Multi-page fold-up’s, often small brochure size. In other words, anything advertising cartridges that is not as comprehensive as a catalog as defined above.

I hope this defines things better.

Remchester–I just heard from Curtis and he is sending the following Winchester catalogs:

1890-1893
1896-1903
1907
1911-1914
1916-1918

So, we need all the catalogs before 1960 except those above.
