WRA 303 British

Here is a .303 British made by WRA Co in 1942.

Is it comercial lot or WWII delivery to UK?

Not sure which country this went to - most likely, of course, one of the UK - Commonwealth countries - but it certainly is military, not commercial. Little commercial ammunition was available from Winchester during the WWII years, and certainly not any headstamped like this.

Standard Winchester military .303 produced for the UK. Usually packed in 20 round white boxes, variously marked “Not for use in Aircraft” or “Not for use in Bren guns”. Much of it was condemned for ground use only and the early lots were sentenced to be destroyed.

Thank you very much!!!
